GO GREEN

Hawayein, patte, pani, per, jungle, sabz sona hain...
Agar tum ho to itna hi zaroori inka hona hai

Hawayein maili mat karna ki jab tum saans loge
Ye dum wapas nahin ayega jab tum khaans loge

Ugaao zindagi aur yaad rakho dil ko bona hai
Hawayein, patte, pani, per, jungle, sabz sona hain

Per ugaao, chanon hawayein, saaf karo
Apni zameen se itna to insaaf karo

Ugaao zindagi aur yaad rakho dil ko bona hai
Hawaayein, patte, pani, per, jungle, sabz sona hain

Ugaao zindagi aur yaad rakho dil ko bona hai
Hawaayein, patte, pani, per, jungle, sabz sona hain

YUVVRAAJ

I will remember this movie for two reasons:-
1.first ever movie watched alone
2.My first pvr experience(flamez-ludhiana)
as far as the film is concerned, I think it is a good one-- seems like ghai has worked hard on it unlike the last commercial one-kisna(it was intolerable).all through the movie there are some beautifully pictured locations, sets are amazing-,acting is also good but like taal here also anil kapoor steals the show with his acting .-- story is the only thing i didn't like ,but subhash ghai has done good to make the story work with music as a base- which is the best thing about the film, plus background music was equally good. best songs i think are --DOST,TU MUSKURA and DIL KA RISHTA.
Overall a great family drama to watch in a long time

Angels And Demons...BOOK REVIEW

few days back i completed reading what i term as "THE BEST FICTION I HAVE READ TILL DATE",it is also the longest---569 pages.the only thing that comes to my mind after reading is --how can someone think of writing something "huge" like this.
HATS OFF to MR.DAN BROWN and the research work he has put into this creation which clearly comes out through out the book.so much research--starting from about the CERN to their scientific research,to the VATICAN,to the monuments and churches of ROME and last but not the least to
ILLUMINATI BROTHERHOOD and ILLUMINATI LAIR...i must say "rich with high I.Q"
what i find the best about the book is the AMBIGRAM thing(try to read the cover page upside down to know what ambigram is) and the book is interesting as anything until all of them are discovered.
rest i would say this is "one fiction which really DESERVES to be read". if you are a fan of SIDNEY SHELDON and have read his novels, likes them..--then this one is his novels great-grandmother---UNPUTDOWNABLE--!!!!!!

watch out the following link if you have already read it

INSPIRATION

There will be times when you would despair
There would be times when you feel defeated
There will be times when you feel rejected
Hold your thoughts and ponder
Wait a while and remember
Don’t judge yourself from a day’s experience
For what you are today, was not made in a day
A failure is a way, I believe
To see yourself in a different light
In a different perspective, through your own inner eyes
You rejoice in success
You analyze in failure
For failure is a queer teacher, it will teach you things the hard way
It won’t facilitate, it won’t accentuate,
It will hit you hard in your face
But if you get bogged down, give up or simply stop
Do it at your own risk, kill yourself, albeit in parts
They can take away an opportunity, they can take away a chance
They may take away the world from you, and make you penniless
And you are down and out unless
You see with your inner eyes
The potential, the passion, the talent, the energy, the enthusiasm
The spirit, the will and most importantly the faith.
You will see yourself
In a totally different light
For these are the things
No one can take away, no one can change
No one can tamper, no one can suppress
Because this is all what you are about.

"MUSIC IS BACK"

Aaja mein hawaon pe bitha ke le chalu..
tu hi toh meri dost hai...

Aaja mein khalaon mein utha ke le chalu..
tu hi toh meri dost hai..

Aawaaz ka darya hoon
Beheta hoon mein neeli raaton mein.
Main jaagta rehta hoon, neend bhari jheel si aakhon mein....

Aawaaz hoon mein...

subhash ghai's back with yuvvraj.......watching the first trailer and a song promo was a treat.....the reason i say "music is back" is because it's A R RAHMAN again after taal(in kisna he composed only 2 songs).......but if i am not mistaken it's for the first time that ghai has worked with gulzar........so much similarities with TAAL......subhash ghai/anil kapoor/a r rahman/based on music.............looking forward to yuvvraj.......until it gets released on 21st nov.......ENJOY THE MUSIC.......

Aaja mein hawaon pe bitha ke le chalu..
tu hi toh meri dost hai...

Longg time.....NOTHING to write....

don't u think the title is rhyming.....hhhuh.......

well... it's been 45 days since the last time i wrote something on this blog.....most of the days i was not having anything to write and the other few days...was out of time......days come days go....here are few thoughts i thought about writing but since have not written them......trying in this single post...to write about all of them.....

aug 15--17th....khatron ke khiladi ended....a tv show i liked a lot ...thought about writing a post on that(i was even having a title for that,"sharma the coward ,sharma the brave",named on the contestants urvashi and dipanita)but was out of time for about a week.....and then thought time has passed....and it was not worth writing...

second half of august.......wanted to write the reviews of the movies released(bah, singh is king ,rock on)....but till date have not seen any of them...so even this idea....."flopped"...........

had written in my last post that i 'll write a book review(born to win).....naaaaa.....its not that i have taken more than one and a half month to read that 100 pages book.... but.....i think.......there's nothing in it worth writing.........30 odd chapters of 3-4 pages each...explaining simple things with simple examples.....(mr Pramod Batra's personal experiences......)............I think a very good one to read when u don't have anything else to do.......but surely not the one to write reviews on....(how can u review universal truths........)........

also thought about writing how can days turn out to be THAT BAD....(had a terrible mock test experience this sunday.....and coming back home....met with an accident )........in the end thought..."the day was not BAD ENOUGH to be written about"

finally ended up writing nothing on the blog............

in the end would like to say..."naya naya shaunk hai(blog ka).....kuch bhi likhne ko dil karta hai"

my take on "THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI"written by ROBIN SHARMA

over the past week this is what happened worth writing........
it was surely worth coming back to this book after around 10 months....(i say so because i read 80 pages of this book last october, but couldn't read rest for some reasons........)
started reading it last monday(28th july)...and completed it today only....(i think my speed's improving..as far as reading motivational books is concerned)

MY TAKE---the book's title line is "a fable about fulfilling your dreams and reaching your destiny"........and ya....truly justifies...a simple fable explained to the depth,in an even simpler way........every single thing in the fable, represents some virtue...in total the seven virtues of enlightened living.........i think everyone will find something common between his life and the examples cited to explain the philosophy, let it be your desire to wake up early, loose weight' stay healthy, become happy(ier) .........or......anything else...a beautifully written book......explaining the very important virtues in your life....your time, being disciplined, serving others etc.....

the book also truly justifies....PAULO COELHO'S words about itself...."A CAPTIVATING STORY THAT TEACHES AS IT DELIGHTS"....every chapter ,every page, every paragraph.....has something in it that one can learn from..(i think if anyone has a habit of underlying good lines while reading......will end up underlying around 50% of this book's words).......

i liked chapter "the ancient art of self-leadership" the most(even though the biggest chapter) for it talks about the ten rituals of radiant living,(will love to try these atleast once)......except for this there are numerous techniques listed that one can make use of.....from the heart of rose technique to practicing daily act of kindness and being silent for some time .......

i think this is one of those books that one should keep with himself and read it number of times...like "regular doses of motivation'.....because i think such numerous techniques, quotes, words are not easy to digest in single reading(even though explained simply)

the book is full of life changing, motivational, thought provoking quotes....and ending my review i am using some of those.......

"WE ARE ALL HERE FOR SOME REASON.
STOP BEING A PRISONER OF YOUR PAST,BECOME AN ARCHITECT OF YOUR FUTURE"

"The secret of happiness is simple:find out what what you truly love to do and then direct all your energy towards doing it.once you do this, abundance flows into your life and all your desires are filled with ease and grace"

this is extremely motivational........found my first reading of motivational books interesting.......i think good time to read another..........here comes what i presently have next with me---"BORN TO WIN"..........COMING SOON......with it's reviews.............

Tere larian ‘ch
Din kinney beetey
Kujh kat gaye
Kujh jamaa keetey

Ni maen akk gia
Bol chup teri parhda
Taenu parhna na
Sohnie hai mere vas da

Putthian-sidhian chhad das
Avengi ja nahi
Mere munh ‘te kesan di chha
Pavengi ja nahi

Koi souhan jhutthian-sachian
Khavengi ja nahi
Mere munh ‘te kesan di chhan
Pavengi…das avengi

Ik miley na
Sunehe utton ghaldi
Kehrhe passeon
Gall eh ve fabdi

Keh ton dardi eyn
M’kha koi taenu puchhe
Ki tun lukdi eyn
Tan jo koi taenu labhe

Je maen avan taenu labhan
Labhengi ja nahi
Koi rah nishani apni
Chhadengi ja nahi

Buha khulla kamre apne da
Rakhengi ja nahi
Mere munh ‘te kesan di chha
Pavengi…das avengi

Taenu yaad us

Jehrha hoia na si

Jadon dubia si
Jadon kujh taria si maen

Avengi ja nahi
Mere munh ‘te kesan di chhan

last 12 DAYS... & THE religious trip

Last week(14th july-20th july)was an ordinary one except for the fact that i turned 21 on 19th...even the birthday passed like an ordinary day..

20th july--i had my mocktest 2...took the test...was an above average performance but i think i need to do a lot better(though went better than the last one)....after i reached home ,came to know that the trip to chandigarh was extended onto VRINDAVAN....left for the same by 5 pm and reached chandigarh by evening....

next morning (monday 21ST JULY)) started for our main destination.....on the way reached karnal by eight and(being monday) went in to the MAHAKARNESHWAR MANDIR.....was a nice experience...doing the "JALABHISHEK" of the five faced huge SHIVLING and a great start to our spiritual trip..............after two more stoppages(and for the second time in the row without wandering in delhi for routes) reached vrindavan by 3pm.....had lunch at THE AKSHAY PATRA FOUNDATION RESTAURANT and went to sleep.....in the evening went to the
BANKAYBIHARIJI TEMPLE and THE ISKCON TEMPLE(darshan at both the temples was amazing)..........

TUESDAY(22ND JULY)------was a day of new experiences....firstly went to the RADHARANI TEMPLE(BARSANA)and then for the GOVARDHAN PARIKARMA......(i for the first time did partial parikarma(badi parikarma-12 kms) by foot....the total being 21 kms.)was a new and a pleasant experience.......

wednesday/thursday.....came back to jalandhar ...on the way back dropped varinda at chandigarh for her college....

this was all abt our religious trip....

first week at blog

well hello readers...this is my first ever post...........can't think of anything else to write....so writing how my last week was......
past week was not that exciting but still i am writing this blog....so i will only be writing the exciting things that happened the past week

tuesday--(8th july)-------- was a busy day...the first thing i did was(not from morning..after 11am)to go to
GURU NANAK district library... i was waiting for this since two weeks..but on monday somehow bhatia managed to get that verification form signed and i was finally able to get the membership...(thanks to bhatia)..i know most of u must be thinking...'" that library huhh'" but let me tell you its not that bad...except for the books(which i think nobody but punjabi teachers can make use of),its beautifully constructed, such fine architecture(make a visit'you will like too),the furniture is old but still one is able to sit...overall a silent place where one can study(but surely one's own books...) .moreover u can't get the comforts of browser sorts library everywhere(latest books,ac's,wi-fi internet connection, coffee shops, sitting lounge with binbags& other cool furniture)......

wednesday .....9th july 08......in the evening went to the movie"jaane tu ya jaane na" with jaini and his cousins.....my take on movie.......good movie(achi picture achi hi hoti hai),good different story, good music, good acting. somebody told me that that the movie should have never ended(before i watched it)...after watching it i feel same.....a sweet little movie(pata nahi kab 3 hours pass ho gaye)

this was all xciting abt the week!!!!!!!!!!!!

keep visiting.........enjoy reading!!!!!!!!!!
